Promotional Offers
Throughout the year, we will offer different promotions for memberships, camps, and other services we offer. These promotions are valid during the terms and conditions stated during the offer period. For example, free registration may be offered during the month of August. This will entitle anyone who becomes a new member within the month of August, will receive free registration.
The offer is valid during the dates only and subject to availability. For example If you have joined outside of the month of August, you will not be eligible for the offer.
We encourage all members to take a one off paid session before committing to membership to ensure that you are happy with the product and service you receive.
As per the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you are entitled to cancel your membership and receive a full refund of any fees paid within 14 days of completing your membership application form. However, as per regulation 36 of Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you select to commence your membership immediately, or you ask us to start your membership early, you agree that if you subsequently cancel your membership within the 14 day period, you will be refunded any monies paid, less an amount for the membership you have already used. For example, if your membership fee is £15.00 per month and you cancel your membership after 10 days of it commencing (having asked us to start it immediately) we would refund you £10.00, keeping £5.00, which represents the membership you had used up to the point of cancellation.
Terms of Enrolment
Enrolment in our classes is a monthly membership until you tell us otherwise in writing. If you do not wish to continue with your membership, we require a minimum enrolment period of 1 month. Cancellations after the 3rd of the month will go into the next calendar month. Any payments set up and due within your notice period will be taken, and you will be able to attend classes until the end of this period.
Renewal Annual Membership Fee
Once you have been with us a year, the annual membership fee will be up for renewal: £50 for Flippers and Backflippers and £20 for Little, Mini and Tiny Flippers and £75 family membership for 2 or more children. This payment includes monthly and termly awards, competition entry, discounts for camps and parties. If this is not paid in the month it is invoiced your child will not be able to have access to any awards or competition entries through the year.
As a member of Backflip Gymnastics, your family is entitled to discounts on birthday parties, holiday camps and special events as well as exclusive offers and early bird deals. Providing you have opted-in to receive our promotional electronic communications, you will receive prior electronic notification of our events and early bird enrolment periods. Fees must be paid/auto-pay set up prior to enrolment. Membership fees are non-refundable and will not be prorated.
Trial Sessions
We encourage all members to take a one off paid session before committing to membership to ensure that you are happy with the product and service you receive. This paid one off fee for your trial is non refundable.
Monthly Membership
Once you have enrolled for our monthly membership, we do not refund any classes unless classes are cancelled by ourselves at Backflip. If you would like to cancel your membership please follow the membership cancellation section.
Members Annual Payment
You have the option as a member to pay for your membership for a year upfront. Pay for 10 months of the year and receive 2 months free (your normal monthly amount x10)
You can start any month of the year
This payment doesn't include renewal membership annual fee, this invoice will be raised separately.
No refund is given - once paid for the year, you are committed to the year and will not receive a refund or monies reimbursed.
You membership cannot be frozen at any point during the year
Class Cancellation
Backflip Gymnastics reserves the right to cancel classes, camps or birthday parties due to the occurrence of an unforeseeable event i.e. government lockdown, restricted access to Backflip Gymnastics facility etc. If this occurs and we are unable to gain access to the gym, we will replace face to face activities normally taking place at the gym with an online offering. If Backflip Gymnastics activities move online our standard terms and conditions apply.
Neither Backflip Gymnastics nor the customer shall be held liable for failure or delay in the performance of its obligations regarding the subscription to Backflip Gymnastics products and services, except with respect to payment obligations, if such performance is delayed or hindered by the occurrence of an unforeseeable act or event which is beyond the reasonable control of either party ("Force Major Event"). Acts or events constituting Force Major Events shall include, but not limited to, Act of God, government intervention, directives, policies, change in the law, epidemic and/or pandemic, natural disaster, strikes, war or terrorism. The party affected by a Force Major Event shall notify the other as soon as reasonably practicable after commencement of a Force Major Event.
Class Lateness
To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience for all participants, we ask that students arrive on time for their scheduled classes. Late arrivals may disrupt the session and the learning environment. If you anticipate being late, please notify us as soon as possible. Persistent lateness may result in a review of the student's enrollment status.
Missed Classes
We do not offer makeups or refunds for any missed classes, as our scheduling and pricing are based on attendance. Please ensure you are able to attend your scheduled sessions.
Membership Cancellation Policy
We would hate to see you go, but if you need to cancel your membership, please email info@backflipgymnastics.com.
Our cancellation policy is 1 full calendar month. If you give your cancellation between the 1st and the 3rd of the month, this month will be considered your one month notice. After the 3rd, your cancellation will go into the following month. For example, if you give notice on 7th April, you will be responsible for paying the month of May with the last class at month end.
Account Freezing
Account freezing is only permitted in emergency situations or unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon in advance. Please email us info@backflipgymnastics.com if you need to make special arrangements.
Bank Holiday
Please note that there will be no refunds or credits for classes, camps, or activities scheduled on bank holidays, as these are already included in our pricing structure. These dates are factored into your membership, and no reimbursement will be provided for any missed sessions.
Holidays and Closure
Christmas: The gym is closed for two weeks over Christmas, dates will be given to you outside the terms and conditions
Bank Holidays: The gym is closed for all bank holidays throughout the year, including the whole of Easter bank weekend (Good Friday, Saturday, Easter Sunday and Monday)
August: The gym is shut for the last week of august: Monday 26th august- 1st Sep 2024. This is for general maintenance and staff training.
Please note this does not affect your monthly membership fee as it runs for 50 weeks of the year, spread out over 12 months which takes into consideration the closure for xmas. Bank holidays and august closure is covered by some of the months in the year which are 5 weeks rather than 4 weeks as your membership is covered for 4 weeks of lessons each calendar month.
Pre School Timetable and Pricing
Weekend Classes: Pre school classes held on weekends carry on throughout all holidays
Weekday Classes: Pre School classes held during Monday to Friday do not continue throughout the holidays. Your membership is for 40 weeks of the year divided by 12 months. You are paying the same amount each month but you are not charged for the holidays.
Respect for Staff
At Backflip Gymnastics, we pride ourselves on maintaining a respectful and professional environment. We expect all students and their families to show respect for our staff at all times. We do not tolerate any form of disrespect, harassment, or inappropriate behavior towards our team members. Any such behavior may result in the suspension or termination of services, at our discretion. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and positive atmosphere for all involved.
