What is included in the annual membership fee?The annual membership fee is paid when you join Backflip and is then renewed each year. To see what’s included in your membership fee, please click here. If you decide to pay for the year, you are committed for the full year to receive the discount. If you decide you would like to cancel during your year, no refund will be given. If Backflip cancels a class for any reason, this will be refunded back to you.

Is your membership monthly or termly?Our membership at Backflip runs over 50 weeks of the week and is a monthly membership. We close for 2 weeks over Christmas and bank holidays. You are not charged for the 2 weeks we are shut over Christmas.

What happens if my class falls on a bank holiday?We are closed for all bank holidays.

What happens if I cannot attend my classes?You can freeze your account for up to 2 months within a 12-month period for £15 per month.

What is your cancellation policy?We would hate to see you go, but if you need to cancel your membership, please email info@backflipgymnastics.com. Our cancellation policy is 2 full months. Cancellations after the 15thof the month will go into the next calendar month. For example, if you cancel on the 18th of October, your notice period will be November and December.

I have booked a trial class but can’t attend, can I move this to another day?Yes, no problem at all, please get in touch with the office and they will book this for you: info@backflipgymnastics.com.

They have done one trial already but are still not sure, can we book another one?Yes, no problem. We offer all children the chance to have two trial classes. Please contact the office and they will schedule a new trial for you: info@backflipgymnastics.com.

Can I watch the trial?Yes, you are very welcome to watch the trial. Please make your way up to the watching area.

What happens after the trial? Can I watch every week?Unfortunately, we do not offer watching your child every week. We have watching 4 times a year, you will be notified of the watching dates by the office.

Why do you not offer watching every week?From our experience, children do better in their classes if they do not have watching each week, many children do not like people watching them and often get very distracted.

Does my child need to wear uniform to their class?All children need to wear their Backflip T-Shirt, which you receive within your registration pack. All girls in our advanced and squad levels are required to wear our Backflip Leotard. Boys are required to wear the Backflip T Shirt. Please ensure your child is wearing tight shorts, leggings or tracksuit bottoms to go with their t-shirt.

Waiting AreaWe have a small waiting area in the gym corridor, we encourage all parents to drop by and go but if they would like to wait till their child is confident, or they may have got public transport to the gym, they are welcome to wait. The clubhouse next door is open from 5 pm daily and 11 am on Saturdays, so during these times, please recommend parents to wait in the clubhouse bar.

Talking to your child's coach at their class?If you would like to talk to your child’s class coach, you are welcome to write an email to our head coach/centre manager and they will be in touch via phone call or email.

When will my child be ready for the next class?Children are no longer assessed but rather rewarded every year with our awards week.

More info hereWe require all parents to stay in the building during our little flipper pre-school classes. 4 months to 18 months: Child interaction class. You join in with your child during their class. 1 parent only in the class per child. Other parents/ visitors are welcome to watch on the balcony during weekdays. 18 months to 3 years: This is a parent interaction class. You join in with your child during their class. 1 parent only in the class per child. Other parents/ visitors are welcome to watch on the balcony during weekdays. 3 years to 4 years: In this class, we are starting to encourage independence for your child in their class. The class is lead by the class teacher and all parents watch from the balcony during weekdards, so you are close by if we need your assistance.

What age do you run your birthday parties for?Our parties are for children aged 4 to 12 years.

Do you provide food?Unfortunately due to allergies, we do not provide food or drink. Party hosts are welcome to bring their own food and drink.

What's your cancellation policy?To receive a full refund or change your date of your party, please inform us up to 6 weeks in advance prior to your party.

Do you do themed parties?You are welcome to customise your party with your chosen theme by bringing the relevant decorations you desire.

Are parents allowed to stay?Guests over 6 years we recommend drop off and go. For parties 6 and under if parents would like to stay, they are welcome to watch from the balcony. No parents are allowed in the gym.

Where do they eat?After the children's party activities, children will sit in a big circle in one of the gyms and food will be laid out, like a picnic. Parents of the birthday child will be allowed in the gym whilst children at eating.

What time can we access the gym?Party hosts are welcome to enter 15 minutes before party starts and have 15 minutes after party finishes to finish up.

What age are your holiday camps for?Our camps are suitable for children aged 4 to 12 years.

Are they split into ages?We offer 4 years - 12 years.

What do you do in a typical day of camp?Camp starts at 10am and finishes at 3pm. Your child will participate in a mixture of activities such as gymnastics, games, free play, outside activities on our field, routines, acrobatics and so much more.

Do you provide food and drink?All children are required to bring their own lunch and drink.
