MEMBERSHIP

The annual membership fee is paid when you join Backflip and is then renewed each year. To see what’s included in your membership fee, please click here.
If you decide to pay for the year, you are committed for the full year to receive the discount. If you decide you would like to cancel during your year, no refund will be given. If Backflip cancels a class for any reason, this will be refunded back to you.

Our membership at Backflip runs over 50 weeks of the week and is a monthly membership. We close for 2 weeks over Christmas and bank holidays. You are not charged for the 2 weeks we are shut over Christmas.

We would hate to see you go, but if you need to cancel your membership, please email info@backflipgymnastics.com. Our cancellation policy is one full calendar month. If you give your cancellation between the 1st and the 3rd of the month, this month will be considered your one month notice. After the 3rd, your cancellation will go into the following month. For example, if you give notice on 7th April, you will be responsible for paying the month of May with the last class at month end.

TRIAL

We offer all children the chance to have two trial classes. Please contact the office and they will schedule a new trial for you: info@backflipgymnastics.com

Yes, you are very welcome to watch the trial. Please make your way up to the watching area.

Unfortunately, we do not offer watching your child every week. We have watching four times a year, you will be notified of the watching dates by the office.

From our experience, children do better in their classes if they do not have watching each week, many children do not like people watching them and often get very distracted.
CLASSES
-
All children need to wear their Backflip T-Shirt, which you receive within your registration pack. All girls in our advanced and squad levels are required to wear our Backflip Leotard. Boys are required to wear the Backflip T Shirt. Please ensure your child is wearing tight shorts, leggings or tracksuit bottoms to go with their t-shirt.

We have a small waiting area in the gym corridor, we encourage all parents to drop by and go but if they would like to wait till their child is confident, or they may have got public transport to the gym, they are welcome to wait.
The clubhouse next door is open from 5 pm daily and 11 am on Saturdays, so during these times, please recommend parents to wait in the clubhouse bar.

If you would like to talk to your child’s class coach, you are welcome to write an email to our head coach/centre manager and they will be in touch via phone call or email.
YOUR CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT

Children are no longer assessed but rather rewarded every year with our awards week.

We have a very extensive reward programme at Backflip, please ask a member of staff about our rewards programme.
FOUNDATION CLASSES

We require all parents to stay in the building during our Foundation classes.
4 months to 18 months: Child interaction class. You join in with your child during their class. 1 parent only in the class per child. Other parents/ visitors are welcome to watch on the balcony during weekdays.
18 months to 3 years: This is a parent interaction class. You join in with your child during their class. 1 parent only in the class per child. Other parents/ visitors are welcome to watch on the balcony during weekdays.
3 years to 4 years: In this class, we are starting to encourage independence for your child in their class. The class is lead by the teacher and all parents watch from the balcony during the session, so you are close by if we need your assistance.
PARTIES

Our parties are for children aged 4 to 12 years.

Unfortunately due to allergies, we do not provide food or drink. Party hosts are welcome to bring their own food and drink.

To receive a full refund or change your date of your party, please inform us up to 6 weeks in advance prior to your party.

You are welcome to customise your party with your chosen theme by bringing the relevant decorations you desire.

Guests over 6 years we recommend drop off and go. For parties 6 and under if parents would like to stay, they are welcome to watch from the balcony. No parents are allowed in the gym.

After the children's party activities, children will sit in a big circle in one of the gyms and food will be laid out, like a picnic. Parents of the birthday child will be allowed in the gym whilst children at eating.

Party hosts are welcome to enter 15 minutes before party starts and have 15 minutes after party finishes to finish up.
HOLIDAY CAMPS

Our camps are suitable for children aged 4 to 12 years.

We offer 4 years - 12 years.

Camp starts at 10am and finishes at 3pm. Your child will participate in a mixture of activities such as gymnastics, games, free play, outside activities on our field, routines, acrobatics and so much more.

All children are required to bring their own lunch and drink.
